You accomplish nothing if you do that.
Your mind must know it has got to get down to work."

Laying the Groundwork for and Effective Routine.
Turning up is the most important factor for success and accomplishment. Routines help us to set expectations, divide our time, keep our minds in creative flow and letting us work according to our energy levels. Do not wait for inspiration- create an environment which allows it to happen. Building a routine is about perseverance and continuing. If you want to create something useful you must decide between the must haves and the wants.
You must also decide whats important to you and not let others or work work commitments get in the way. There is a temptation to try to clear everything else before beginning the piece of work in hand. Doing this will mean you will never actually manage to create anything worthwhile. One of the most important changes that can be made in order to ascertain creativity and production is to switch to dealing with my own work first and others second.
Work according to the times when you are most productive/ have the most energy and don't schedule anything else at these times. Keep things the same- same routine, same time, same place, same tools (eg. tea and water), same background music. This will bigger the mind to be its most creative self. Allow anything that will wait, to wait. Limit your 'todo' list to a 3x3 postit note. Write down every commitment- this will help you fulfill them. Set times and boundaries for your work.
